On Tuesday, May 3rd three Salina Intermediate students were honored with awards for their exceptional essays about Miranda Rights and The Fifth and Sixth Amendments. This was part of the yearly Law Day Essay Contest sponsored by The Dearborn Rotary and our 19th District Court.
~Abdulsalam Abdullah took first place
~Ranya Abdoulla took third place at the 8th grade level.
~Khalil Outaifa took first place at the 7th grade level.
Salina Intermediate was the only school to have more than two winners and the only school to have two first place winners! As first place winners both Abdulsalam and Khalil were permitted to read their entries to the judges, dignitaries and families in attendance.
