Middle School Virtual Testing Schedule Spring 2021

Dear Dearborn families of 6th-8th grade virtual/remote students,

State testing begins the week of April 12th.  The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) submitted a request to waive testing administration and accountability this year due to COVID-19. This waiver was denied so we will move forward with testing as required by law.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, MDE does not support bringing otherwise remote or virtual students into school solely for the purpose of the state assessment.  If your child is currently attending school remotely or virtually, and are not planning on bringing your child in for state testing, please notify us by filling out this form.  If you are planning on bringing your child in, below is more information about state testing.

On Tuesday, April 13th 2021, Dearborn’s Middle Schools and all other middle schools in Michigan, will be administering the PSAT8 assessments to all 8th grade students.  All 8th grade students will be reporting to their home school on April 13 to take this assessment.  Grades 6 and 7 will have asynchronous work that day and will not be reporting to schools.

The rest of the M-STEP assessments will be administered within the following testing windows.

More information regarding assessments will be sent to families from their home school principals.  All testing will follow Dearborn’s safety protocols.

Please note: Students will need to bring their Chromebooks to school each day of testing (except on 4/13).

If you have any questions please contact your school administrator.
