Parent Participation in SIP

The district is offering parents a volunteer opportunity.

If you would like to participate in a school improvement walkthrough with the district administrative team, please fill out this form.  You will be receiving a reminder call 45 minutes prior to the start of the visit.

 

Further clarification:

Parents are only given 45 minutes prior notice as all other staff included in the SIP visits. SIP visits are structured to be a surprise to the receiving school. They usually run about 1.5 hours. Parents are usually paired up with another staff member and can share out their observation through a google question template doc already prepared during the debrief in a conference room after all classroom observations are completed. Please see me if you need further clarification. We completely understand if parents cannot commit to this. The district asked all schools to post to their blogs because some parents asked to be part of the SIP process.
