Dearborn Public Schools policy on cell phones is that they cannot be seen or heard. We discourage students from bringing them to school. If a phone is brought to school, it must be turned off and locked in the locker until 2:55 p.m. Students may not use their phones inside the school, or on the busses. Phones may only be used after school and outside of the building. School personnel will not be responsible for lost or stolen phones. If a cell phone is seen or heard, it will be confiscated and returned only to a parent or guardian the following day. The second time a cell phone is confiscated will result in a parent/guardian picking up the cell phone from administration. Repeated offenses will result in further discipline.
Student Council will be running a Food Drive from December 1st until December 11th. Please send non-perishable food items with your child to help feed the hungry. Remember that when you feed the hungry, you fill a heart as well as a stomach. Our Salina families and staff have always done a great job donating.
Parent and Student Connect are resources that both parents and students can use to stay informed on academic progress (homework assignments and assessments). If you need your username and password, please visit the school office. Here is a link to parent connect on the Dearborn Schools Website.
The PTA is asking for your help to please donate something for Thursdays bake sales in December. You can donate cupcakes, candy, chips, or drinks. A percentage of the proceeds will help with future field trips. We are having the 7th graders donate this month and will follow with the other grades the following months. Students or staff who bring in a treat for the bake sale will receive one voucher to purchase a treat. Thank you in advance for your support.
